2023
I am working at Supernormal. I have these goals for the year.
2022
I left my job at Stripe. I launched an AI-powered reader called Infeather starting in newsletter form and I'm working on it as an indie-bootstrapped startup.
We brought home a new member of the family, a havanese puppy we have named Lola.
I rejoined the workforce as Head of AI at Supernormal.
I ran the Seattle Marathon - my fifth marathon.
2021
COVID continued. This year was a work from home year for Stripe, although the office re-opened in September. I started to travel again, taking a post-vaccine trip to Iceland.
In my spare time, I am continuing with synthy song writing and my coding side project whch learns which links are worth sharing.
I ran the Seattle Marathon - my fourth marathon - in 3 hours, 57 minutes.
Here are 10 goals I had for 2021 and how they turned out.
2020
In 2020, COVID hit, we moved from Bali to Australia, then we returned from the travel year to Seattle and I started at Stripe.
Back in Seattle, I started composing progrocky/synthy/80s rock songs in GarageBand for fun.

2019
In July 2019, after five years working at Facebook, I decided to take a one year sabbatical. My family and I moved to Bali and explored Southeast Asia. We lived in a house on a rice field in Ubud. I took some time lapse photos which I made into a video:

2015
In 2015, our second daughter Jasmine was born, and we took three months leave
spent in Iceland, London, Crete, Sicily, the Canary Islands, and Japan. I wrote a lot about the
experience of traveling with a 3 year old and an infant at
this blog.
I also recorded some
sounds on this trip.
Before taking this trip, I also climbed Mt. Rainier, here is some GoPro footage:
This video, from my Mt. Pilchuk hike, is comprised of 2300 frames unintentionally captured by my camera. I had placed the camera in the back of the backpack and the mesh strap held down the shutter release until the battery ran out. Please notice just how rocky a trail this was. My feet still hurt.
Here were the goals I set at the start of 2015:
