9 Goals for 2024
What I set out to do in 2024 — the year we moved the family to Stockholm. ← Memoir
- Change my diet to healthy whole foods — no added sugar, no fast food, coffee down to one cup a day. Build a passion for cooking.
- Ditch the phone. Ditch the screens.
- A sustainable lifestyle — reduce, reuse, recycle, give away instead of throwing away, buy local, carbon-offset air travel, fewer short trips and more long ones.
- Network — get out of the house every day for at least one in-person conversation; work outside the house at least twice a week.
- Go abroad with the family again.
- Trek with friends and brothers.
- Awaken — attend a week-long meditation retreat.
- Start a dinner series — friends over for dinner or a night out at least once a week.
- Go deep on one thing in AI — fine-tuning open-source models with context selection for "observed dialogue enhancement" (models that observe and improve writing and conversation rather than just answer questions).
